New 3-D animation serial for kids launched

DIGITAL Fantasy, a city-based animation studio, has launched an interactive 3-D television programme for children. Titled `Anto Ant's Riddle Time', the programme is in Malayalam and is currently being telecast on the Jeevan Malayalam satellite television channel.

The programme is hosted by an ant called `Anto', created using 3-D animation techniques.

Each episode of the programme contains three rounds that are intended to be both informative and entertaining say its creators.

In keeping with this objective, the programme has riddles, competitions and information on the latest developments in science.

Besides, it offers viewers an insight into different historical events and places, says a company press release.

The programme also has clips in which `Anto' feature in scenes from popular films.

A team of 15 animators worked on this programme, which is telecast on Sunday mornings with a repeat on Friday evenings.
