'Release water from Sabari dam`

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Electricity Minister, Mr K. Muraleedharan, has ordered the release of water from the Sabarigiri dam controlled by the Kerala State Electricity Board, says an official press release.

This step has been taken to increase the availability of clean water in the Pamba river, in view of the large number of pilgrims likely to visit the Sabarimala temple on the occasion of Vishu, which falls on April 14, the release adds.
