Prudential Coop Bank assn plea

HYDERABAD: The Prudential Cooperative Bank Shareholders and Depositors Welfare Association has appealed to the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Mohan Kanda, to take steps for the revival of the bank and ensure repayment of deposits made by 2.8 lakh customers.

In a press release here, the Association General Secretary, Mr P. Surya Prakash Rao, stated that though the bank had recovered Rs 140 crore from defaulters in the past one year, it was not repaying the deposits made by customers. The bank had also not held its annual general body meeting so far in spite of repeated representations made by the depositor
