Rubber prices remain static

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , April 13

THE spot rubber market remained unchanged on Tuesday. Though the market is experiencing acute shortage of rubber, the absence of fresh buying kept the rates static. The transactions were meagre.

Though tapping has resumed in most of the plantation areas following scattered rains, the availability of the raw material continued to be low. Trades expect more inflow towards the end of the month.

RSS 4 closed at Rs 57.00 a kg on Monday. The futures market showed better signs on Tuesday. The April delivery was quoted at Rs 56.00 (55.40), May delivery at Rs 58.85 (58.40), June delivery at Rs 60.79 (60.52) and July delivery at Rs.61.43 (61.22 ) per kg for RSS 4
