MUMBAI: Patni Computer Systems Ltd has inducted Mr Michael.A.Cusumano, professor and business strategist, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as an independent director on its board.

According to an official release, the appointment is in line with the company's efforts to bring global expertise at the board level to help shape business strategy, growth and vision.

Prior to its public offering, Patni had inducted five professionals as independent directors last year.
