Monsterindia records high traffic in January

MONSTERINDIA, the Indian arm of Monster, a global online careers network, received record traffic in January 2004, attracting 4.49 million unique visitors and thereby establishing its position in the online careers category.

The President and Managing Director of Monsterindia, Mr Arun Tadanki, in a statement said, ``Monsterindia attracted 71 per cent more unique visitors than its closest competitor in January 2004. With a database of over 1.1 million registered job seekers, employers visit Monster to find the quality candidates they need to grow their businesses. In turn, job seekers come to Monster to find quality career opportunities in all ranges of industries.''

According to independent research conducted by comScore Media Metrix in January 2004, Monsterindia maintained its lead for the third consecutive month in January with a reach of 13.2 per cent, with the closest competitor only obtaining a 7.8 per cent reach of the Internet audience. The Media Metrix report also revealed that nearly 75 per cent of the traffic that visited Monsterindia did not visit other job sites.

Monster.com India Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Hyderabad, is part of the online career network of Monster Worldwide. Launched in March 2001, Monsterindia has over 30,000 real-time jobs on the site and over 1200 corporate clients. Monster India also has more than 9,40,000 resumes in its database.
