Foreign Trade Asia-Pacific trade team to visit Pakistan Our Bureau
New Delhi , April 15 A HIGH-POWERED CACCI (Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry) business delegation is visiting Pakistan from April 15 to 22 with the objective of promoting business cooperation between CACCI countries. The 10-member delegation will aim at increasing regional business interaction and enhance regional economic growth. Mr K.K. Modi, President, CACCI and Past President FICCI, will lead the delegation. Some of the members are Mr Suresh Agarwal of Aluminium Industries (Assam) Pvt Ltd, Mr Cherukuri Venkata Rao of Ispat Industries Ltd, Mr Alton Chi-Chin Wang of China Trust Commercial Bank and Dr Webster Kiang of China Trust Bank. CACCI is a regional organisation of apex chambers of commerce and industry and business associations from 22 countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Established in 1966, it aims to provide a forum for examining, crystallising and consolidating economic thinking of Asian and Western Pacific enterprises and for promoting intra-regional trade and investments. FICCI is the nodal point for CACCI activities in India. The member countries of CACCI are Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
