Hafele unveils new gluing tech

Our Bureau

Mumbai , April 16

HAFELE Germanyhas introduced an ultra violet (UV) glass gluing technology for furniture applications.

The new technology includes a comprehensive range of special fittings like hinges, locks, catches and adapters for furniture legs, handles, shelf holders and runners.

The UV gluing kit comprises the necessary adhesive and processing equipment. The gluing technique provides an incredibly strong bond between stainless steel, glass and wood components. For instance, stainless steel legs can be easily connected with glass tabletops. Since the glue remains invisible, it creates a clean connection.

Hafele is the world leader in the supply of furniture fittings, architectural door hardware and the Dialock electronic locking system. With the UV glass gluing technology, it has opened new avenues in the design of light furniture using the popular mixture of wood, glass and stainless steel.
