Advertising Dentsu Comm bags Blaupunkt ad account Our Bureau
Bangalore , April 19 DENTSU Communications has bagged the advertising account of global audio major Blaupunkt. The account was won after a five-way pitch, which involved strategy and creative presentations. The Blaupunkt India advertising account is estimated to be between Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 4 crore. Confirming the move, Mr Ajay Sahney, Divisional Manager (Sales - Mobile Communication) of MICO/SMC, said, "We initiated a two-round multi-agency pitch recently where we awarded our communication business to Dentsucom, Bangalore, probably the youngest agency in India today. Dentsu's pitch was very clearly flowing from a business perspective as laid down by us during the agency briefing stage. The clincher was really a mix of passion displayed in the category and our business evident in the sharp focused communication strategy based on very insightful consumer research and understanding." Launched in India in 1996, Blaupunkt is an established entrant in the Rs 500-crore Indian car-audio industry. And it is up against some other big names in the business, from Aiwa to Sony to Philips. The account moves from Grey Worldwide to Dentsu Communications, which commenced work from April 2004.
