Diversification Agri-Biz & Commodities - Spices & Condiments MAS Enterprises diversifyng Our Bureau
KOCHI: MAS Enterprises Ltd is diversifying its business activities in the fields of cardamom plantation, export, auction, and marketing and trading of agro-based food products like curry powder, tea and coffee powder. The company, with its registered office at Vandamedu in Idukki, has its own plantations to the extent of 750 acres in the State producing cardamom, pepper and coffee. It is also in the process of developing about 200 acres of vanilla in order to supplement the core area of operation, a release said. The company has received HACCP certification from the Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion for its curry powder manufacturing and cardamom processing units. The FMCG division markets curry powder, tea, coffee and all types of spices in consumer packets in the country and abroad. The turnover of the group stood at Rs 122.88 crore in 2002-03, the release added.
