Veronica Labs engages SRL Ranbaxy to monitor AIDS drug

Mumbai , April 19

MUMBAI-BASED Veronica Laboratories has engaged SRL Ranbaxy Ltd, a special reference laboratory network, to carry out clinical investigations in HIV positive patients.

Subsequently, these patients will be put on `Herbovera', Veronica's herbal anti-AIDS drug that boosts immunity in HIV positive patients, helping to ward-off other infections that affect them. Such clinical investigations by SRL Ranbaxy will be carried out every three months, Veronica informed the BSE. The trials are being conducted at Mumbai's Poddar Hospital and the monitoring of patients will be done at SRL Ranbaxy, said the company top brass said.
