Toyota launches Qualis variant

TOYOTA Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Monday launched a limited edition variant of its multi-purpose vehicle, Qualis MYST. A press statement from the company said the new Qualis MYST is priced at Rs 6,62,580 and is available in black colour. The 2-litre diesel Qualis MYST is an eight-seater vehicle and is the least priced in its range. The cheapest Qualis is priced at around Rs 6 lakh. TKM expects to sell around 1,200 units of the Qualis MYST within four months of its launch.

The company sold a total of 31,898 Qualis units during 2003-04 posting a growth of nearly 12 per cent over the previous year. It sold a total of 42,562 units of all its vehicles during 2003-04, posting a 40 per cent growth over the previous year. Toyota Corolla grew 635 per cent to 9,546 units in 2003-04 while the Camry, the luxury sedan, grew 140 per cent to 1,117 units during the same period.
