Marine fisheries tech

KOCHI: Co-operation among developing countries in the area of marine fisheries technology has great importance in the present circumstances, Ms Shobha Marwah, Director (Fisheries), has said.

She was inaugurating the Common Wealth Skill Development Programme on Marine Fisheries Technology here. This month-long programme organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET), Kochi, is the second one in the series. Fishery executives from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are attending the programme.

She also released the CIFNET textbook on Fishing Craft technology.
