Automobile Components France sees strong market for Indian automotives Our Bureau
Bangalore , April 20 WITH India having crossed the figure of million in sales during the last fiscal, France sees the market becoming stronger for automotives thereby the demand for components. France could extend its technology for components manufacturing. On outsourcing, it would be leveraging on India's vast technical talent pool for high-end research and development activities.
Mr Jean Louis Latour, Minister Counsellor, Head of the Economic Missions for South Asia in the Embassy of France, said that France's interest in India had become stronger. He said his country would be focusing on tourism, service sector, food processing and automotive for its future strategy. France's presence in India in heavy and highly specialised sectors such as oil and natural gas, financial sector through leading French banks' operations and defence was well established. Addressing the members of the Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry here, Mr Latour also referred to India's recent initiatives of signing pacts with ASEAN, Free Trade Agreement with some countries in the Asian region as an added strength that attracted France to improve its strategy for more economic cooperation.
