Bank of Bahrain ties up with NIC

Hyderabad , April 21

BANK of Bahrain and Kuwait BSC, a scheduled commercial bank operating in India, has entered into an alliance with National Insurance Company for offering insurance-linked savings account facility to its NRI customers.

In a press release here on Wednesday, the bank said the product branded as ` BBK Life Line' is linked to NRE savings bank account.

The product was designed to provide personal accident insurance coverage to NRIs operating accounts against death or permanent disability due to accident anywhere across the world for a period of one year at a time. The policy can be renewed on due date, the release said.

The scheme is open to all NRIs staying in any part of the world. They need to open a saving bank account with the bank either at Mumbai or Hyderabad and maintain a minimum balance of Rs 5,000 in the NRE savings bank account.
