Dabhol project

This is with reference to "Clean Development Mechanism and Dabhol: Potential for significant value generation" (Business Line, April 20): It is interesting to know that the revival of the Dabhol project can be linked to the CDM benefits, which had been hyped in the last few years. The Dabhol project was initiated much before the cut-off year 2000. This project did not earlier have emission reduction as one of the objectives. If this can get the approval from the CDM Board, similar emission reduction projects all over the world can also get additional revenue.
