Arexera lifts Aftek Q3 net

AFTEK Infosys Ltd has recorded a 20.27 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 13.07 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2004, as against Rs 10.87 during the corresponding period in the previous year.

Aftek's investment in Munich-based Arexera Information Technologies GmbH has not only helped the company expand in markets outside of the US and Japan; it has also given a boost to its topline and bottomline, said a press release.

"The acquisition has enabled us to emerge as an important player in the global knowledge management space and facilitate expansion in the European market. We are now in a position to servicing big ticket clients," said the release quoting Mr Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and CEO, Aftek.

Net sales in the third quarter grew by 49.4 per cent to Rs 36.02 crore (Rs 24.03 crore), the release added. Operating profit grew to Rs 17.5 crore (Rs 12.02 crore).

For the nine months ended March 31, Aftek posted a 26.23 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 39.03 crore (Rs 30.92 crore).
