STRONG focus on core businesses and improved operational efficiencies have helped Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd report a 23 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 18.12 crore for the third quarter ended March 2004.

Sales increased by 41 per cent to Rs 137.27 crore (Rs 97.70 crore). Core businesses of health care and feminine hygiene grew by 11 per cent to Rs 74.88 crore during the quarter from Rs 67.62 crore in the year-ago period.
