Rubber prices remain static

AFTER Saturday's steep fall due to buyer's resistance, the rubber market stabilised on Monday. All the rates remained static in the absence of trading interest.

The futures market continued to rule weak on Monday. The near month May delivery was quoted at Rs 58.01 (58.37), June delivery Rs 58.81 (59.28), July delivery Rs 59 (59.33) and August delivery at Rs 59 (59.17) per kg for RSS 4. The volumes were poor.The spot market rates per kg on Monday were as follows: RSS 4 58.25 (58.25); RSS 5 57 (57); ungraded 56.25 (56.25); ISNR 20 56.25 (56.25); ;latex 60% 43 (43.50).
