Brands Vardhaman enters readymade market Our Bureau
Hyderabad , April 26 VARDHAMAN Traders, part of the Hyderabad-based Andhra Textiles, has launched Guido and Godwin brands of shirts and trousers here on Monday. The company, involved in trading of cloth for the past 30 years, has entered the readymade market and plans to establish "complete men's wear" stores in future. The company Chairman, Mr Bhanwarilal Jain, said that Vardhaman would be establishing a network of 100 distributors in the current year and 100 exclusive franchisee outlets across the country by 2005. It targets to achieve a turnover of Rs 10 crore from the readymade garments division this year. Mr Jain told presspersons that the company had already produced over 100 designs and 10,000 pieces of garments. Though the quality of Guido and Godwin brand of garments would be on par with the fabric used by leading brands in the country, the price would be 40 per cent to 50 per cent lower than that of the competitors. While the Guido range of shirts and trousers are made of 100 per cent cotton, Godwin range is a mix of cotton and polyester. The cloth for the products is being sourced from leading textile manufacturers in the country and also imported from Italy, Mr Jain added.
