Crisil Q4 net up at Rs 6.6 cr

CRISIL Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 6.6 crore for the quarter ended March 2004 as against Rs 5.13 crore in the year ago period.

Income from operations rose to Rs 19.66 crore (Rs 18.21 crore). Other income was Rs 2.76 crore (Rs 2.62 crore).

For the year ended March 31, 2004, net profit was Rs 17.94 crore over Rs 17.92 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003.

Total income for the year was Rs 73.37 (Rs 71.86 crore), while Income from operations was Rs 69.05 crore (Rs 66.99 crore). Other income was at Rs 4.31 crore (Rs 4.86 crore).

The company has maintained dividend of Rs 10 per share.

According to the company press release, during the year, Crisil acquired 100 per cent equity of London-based EconoMatters Limited and its subsidiaries, including Gas Strategies Consulting Limited, Alphatania Limited, Gas Matters Limited and Overview Conferences Limited. These companies provide business advice and information services to the energy and gas industry, serving majors in the European and Asian markets.
