Shopper's Stop net up at Rs 12.02 cr

MUMBAI: Shopper's Stop reported net profit of Rs 12.02 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004, over Rs 10.62 crore in the year ago period.

According to the company press release, gross retail turnover rose 33 per cent to Rs 404.42 crore (Rs 303.02 crore) for the same period. The topline growth was aided by sales from same stores of Rs 329.05 crore, growing at 12 per cent over the previous year.

Mr B.S. Nagesh, Customer Care Associate, Managing Director & CEO, said: "Our turnaround story has continued last year after the two difficult years in 2000 and 2001, when we reported losses."
