ORACLE has enabled its human resource management system with India-specific HR features, including statutory requirements to help customers get meaningful data and insights, according to Mr Shekhar Dasgupta, Managing Director, Oracle India Pvt Ltd.

The emergence of India as a knowledge economy has created unique HR challenges for Indian companies — especially in the area of management of local human capital addressing global needs, said Mr Joel Summers, Senior V-P, HRMS Development, Oracle Corp.

Oracle HRMS, a part of the Oracle e-business suite, helps businesses to manage people-related activities and assets including communication, collaboration, training and development, measurement, recruitment as well as compensation, according to the company.

"The incorporation of local learnings including statutory requirements into Oracle HRMS is one of the projects by the Oracle India development centre has undertaken to enable customers," said Mr Murali Subramanian, V-P, E-business development.

"The improved visibility and analysis capabilities help companies make better HR decisions, such as when to hire key skill areas ," according to Mr Summers.
