OM Kotak Life posts 263-pc rise in premium

Mumbai , April 29

OM Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance (OM Kotak) has recorded a 263 per cent growth in its premium income for the financial year ended March 2004 at Rs 127 crore as against Rs 35 crore in the previous fiscal.

"The key drivers for this growth have been the products, the focus on the upper & middle class target segment, the geographical mapping-distribution channels and our fund performance and the company is expecting to maintain this growth rate", said a press release, quoting Mr Shivaji Dam, Managing Director, OM Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance.

OM Kotak has 41 branches covering 30 cities and would continue to focus on the top 40 cities in the country. It has total employee strength of 993 and 6,800 life advisors.
