Control fraud

This is with reference to "Fraud becoming a team sport" (Business Line, May 3). In today's networking environment, controls are a necessity when companies operate in multiple locations. Total Control Management, like TQM, is essential.

The US Public Company, Accounting Oversight Board, has introduced a standard draft on internal control in connection with financial reporting. Control is an important part of governance which is not being evaluated properly by rating agencies.
