SEBI suspends registration of Dresdner K Benson

Mumbai , May 3

DRESDNER Kleinwort Benson Securities (India) Ltd (DKB) has been found guilty of fictitious dealing and market manipulation and rigging by the Securities and Exchanges Board of India (SEBI).

Consequently, DKB's certificate of registration had been suspended for a period of 18 months by the market regulator, stated a SEBI order. The board has been investigating DKB with regard to trades effected on behalf of Ketan Parikh Associates. Subsequently, the company had surrendered its certificate of registration to SEBI.
