New Delhi , May 4

THE British High Commissioner to India, Sir Michael Arthur, is hosting a networking reception for inward investors here on Wednesday. A large number of existing and prospective Indian investors are expected to attend the evening function, `Investing in the UK.'

"I am convinced that there are major opportunities for Indian investors in the UK across all sectors. The UK Government is keen to encourage Indian investment into the UK, and we at the UK Trade & Investment stand ready to offer advice and support," Sir Michael said in his comments on the function. This, according to a BHC statement here, will be the first of a series of meetings which will help to boost bilateral trade and investment.

UK Trade & Investment, the British Government's integrated trade and investment promotion arm, is responsible for promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) into the UK.
