Aussie group launches pre-MBA programme in Hyderabad

SYDNEY-based Campus Group International Education Services Global Inc (CGIES) has launched a pre-MBA programme titled `Global graduate preparation programme' (GGPP) for the undergraduates seeking admission to MBA programme in any of the US-based Universities.

The GGPP-MBA programme is of three levels each of 12-week duration. After successful completion, a student would get exemptions up to 27 credits or one-year study in the US. According to the CGIES officials, admission into the pathway Universities is assured on completion of this programme.

The CGIES Global Academic Manager, Ms Christina P. Jowett, said the GGPP-MBA meets the needs of international students by preparing them for the transition to a number of reputed universities in the US. The students receive authentic certification from both CGIES and Saint Leo University, she said.

According to her, CGIES was committed to developing and ensuring best practices in the Approved Teaching Centres (ATCs) for the GGPP-MBA to develop and maintain consistency of delivery at high standards including high levels of compliance and equitable standards on a worldwide basis.

The CGIES Chief Executive Officer-India, Mr Sumit Aggarwal, said the Hyderabad-based Badruka Institute of Foreign Education and Storm Consulting Services, and the Visakhapatnam-based Right Directions were appointed to act as ATCs of CGIES in the local market after conducting a due diligence of the background, experience and knowledge of the centres.

``We expect to have a well spread out network of about 25 reputed ATCs around the country over the next 12 months. We support our ATCs on ongoing basis by providing them academic, admin and marketing material support. Regular academic training visits and audits are conducted by our quality control teams to ensure that the highest standards,'' Mr Aggarwal said.

According to the Badruka Director, Prof N.T. Vedachalam, their institute has analysed the credibility of the GGPP-MBA programme through various sources and it took some time before getting convinced that it would attract the students. ``We are thoroughly convinced that this programme will become a great success amongst the US education aspirants, as it saves time and money for them and prepares them for he MBA course in a right direction,'' he said.
