Our Bureau

Hyderabad , May 4

AIRTEL today announced the launch of regular `Election updates' and analysis on the elections from country's prominent opinion makers.

Using AirTel's 646 service, customers will be able to access voice updates of election news bulletins every 20 minutes. AirTel customers will also have access to the daily news analysis from Mr Prabhu Chawla, Mr Karan Thapar and Mr M.J. Akbar.

To complement its voice based election news services, AirTel has also launched a subscription based SMS service available for a fee of Rs 30 per month. Customers would then be able to receive elections alerts through SMS.

The SMS based service will provide a detailed insight into the election results and updates from various locations across the country.

To ensure that all its customers are fully clued on to the election news as it breaks, AirTel has launched an election ticker.
