NEW DELHI: Navigant Technologies, an upstart business outsourcing firm, has announced that it has tied up with Modern Digital Communication (MDC), Canada's leading Internet telephony service provider, to set up a call centre in India.

``This is possibly the first model of its kind where the client has picked up equity in a contact centre and enjoys ownership rights from day one. Another unique aspect of the deal is that the new facility will handle all the customer related functions, including corrections and adjustments, for the Canadian firm,'' Navigant Technologies Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ankur Bhatia, told Business Line.

The two companies have set up a new entity, Navigant Call Centre, in which the Indian promoter holds 49 per cent equity while 51 per cent is held by the Canadian firm.
