BSNL to extend IVRS-based trunk booking in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd proposes to extend the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)-based trunk booking facility now available in the four secondary switching areas to the entire State soon.

An official spokesman quoted the Chief General Manager of the Kerala Circle, Mr K. Sreekantan Nair, as saying that subscribers would get round-the-clock trouble-free service of trunk booking.

Meanwhile, the Cellular Services of BSNL has introduced a rent waiver scheme for disconnected mobile services in the Kerala Circle. According to Mr K.V. Balasubramanian, General Manager, Kerala Circle, cell phones disconnected due to non-payment of bill would be reconnected without payment of rental for the period from the date of disconnection.
