IT doesn't get any bigger than this. The grand finale of The Business Line Quiz 2004, presented by the Union Bank of India, will be held on Friday, May 7. Before the finals, which is scheduled to begin at 6.30 p.m., the Chennai leg of the quiz, inclusive of the preliminary round, will be held at Hotel Savera, which is the hospitality sponsor.

The Bangalore and Hyderabad legs, which were held during the last week of April, attracted over 40 teams each. Cipher and i-flex Technologies, winner and runner-up in the Bangalore leg, along with the FACT-TCS combination team and Bhilai Steel Plant, number one and two in the Hyderabad edition, will await the results of the Chennai leg to know who joins them for the mega finals.

The quiz held across three cities for the first time in its 10-year history, coincides with Business Line's 10th anniversary.

Apart from top corporates and business schools participating in the quiz, there has been strong audience support, helped in no small measure by special audience prizes, courtesy the sponsors, and a generous quiz-master, Mr Suresh Kumar, who has been rewarding correct as well as the most creative audience answers.

The grand prize for the finals will be Rs 50,000. So, if you are passionate about quizzing, and business quizzing at that, you can contact The Advertising Club Madras at 28141581 or 28142250. Entry fee for a two-member corporate/individuals team is Rs 1,000, while for a student team, it's Rs 500. Teams can also register on the spot.

The co-sponsors for the event are Amco, Reynolds, ITC Ltd, Club Mahindra, and Titan. Amity is the academic partner while the regional sponsors for the quiz are Mahavir Optics, UniverCell, Vision Healthsource, Eagle Diaries and Durian.
