Samsung announces special summer offer, unveils 15-inch flat TV

SAMSUNG India Electronics Ltd has launched a 15-inch flat television in the Indian market priced at Rs 7,990. With the introduction of this model, Samsung has a range of 14 flat TVs in the market, across the screen size segments of 15, 17, 21, 25, 29 and 34 inches priced in the range between Rs 7,990 and Rs 1,39,990.

Samsung today also announced the launch of its `Gol do, Flat lo' exchange offer. This offer is valid till June 30. It is meant to lure the consumers to upgrade to a Samsung flat TV of their choice by returning any of their old 20 inches and above curved TV, according to a company release. The offer is applicable to select Samsung flat screen models across the screen sizes ranging from 15 inches to 29 inches.

According to Mr R. Zutshi, Director Sales, Samsung India, "We are hoping to grow our flat TV contribution from its current level of 32 per cent at the end of the first quarter to 40 per cent by the end of the second quarter. By the end of the year, the company expects the flat TV contribution to grow over 50 per cent."

The company also launched some special summer season product bundling packages for its hi-end projection TVs and its 34 inches flat televisions. This summer offer is valid till May 31.
