Training in soap making

Our Bureau

KOCHI: The Kerala University Centre for Gandhian Studies and Gandhi Centre for Rural Development and Poornodaya Book Trust will jointly organise a 3-day training course in soap making from May 15. The training programme will be conducted at Hindi Prachara Sabha Hall, Ernakulam.

Another training programme for processing indigenous food items will be organised at the Town UP School, Kothamangalam. Training will be imparted in producing toilet soaps, washing soaps, detergents and dish-washing powder.

At the food processing training camps, instructions will be given to process the freely available jackfruits. Besides training in production, classes will be conducted in marketing these products.
