Blue Star net up 5 pc

Blue Star has reported a 5 per cent increase in net profit, which touched the Rs. 32.55-crore mark in the last fiscal.

The company's total income during the year was Rs 716.06 crore, representing a 19 per cent increase compared to its income in the previous fiscal.

The board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of Rs 9 per share, continuing its trend of declaring dividends for the last 34 years.

Mr Ashok M Advani, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company, said Blue Star was in the process of implementing several strategic initiatives to augment manufacturing capacity, product innovation and brand building.
