Agro Tech Foods comes out of red

AGRO Tech Foods Ltd, a subsidiary of global food major ConAgra, has posted a net profit of Rs 3 crore during 2003-04 as against a net loss of Rs 11.4 crore incurred during the previous year.

The company has registered a turnover Rs 1,283.20 crore last fiscal, Rs 151.9 crore more than the turnover of Rs 1,131.30 crore registered during 2002-03.

As per the audited financial results, the company has incurred an expenditure of Rs 1,268.9 crore last year and had provided Rs 6.2 crore towards an extraordinary item representing the amount charged on account of settlement of licensing arrangement of the Mantralayam undertaking belonging to ITC Ltd.
