Kinetic launches `Zing' variant; to cost Rs 28,000

Bangalore , May 12

KINETIC Motor on Wednesday launched feature-rich `Zing 80' scooterette at nearly Rs 5,000 lesser than similar models from other competitors.

The General Manager of Kinetic Motor, Mr Ajinkya Arun Firodia, told newspersons that the company plans to sell around 60,000 of these scooterettes during the current fiscal.

"We have 25 per cent market share in this segment which we hope to double it during the current fiscal," Mr Firodia said. The market size of scooterettes is around 25,000 units per month.

Kinetic Motor plans to spend around Rs 5 crore towards the launch of Kinetic Zing. An earlier version of Kinetic Zing was launched nearly 18 months ago. The price of the new Zing is around Rs 28,800 on road in Bangalore.
