New Delhi , May 14

CONTAINER Corporation of India Ltd (Concor) has signed a joint venture with Transworld Group of Companies to develop a container freight station (CFS) at Dadri in Greater Noida.

According to the agreement, the proposed `Albatross' CFS will be set up jointly by the two companies. Concor will have 49 per cent equity in the project and management control will be vested with the Transworld Group, a Concor release said here on Thursday.

The Albatross CFS, which will cover 45,000 square metres of land, is strategically located near Concor's railhead at the inland container depot, Dadri.

"The new CFS will not only provide the latest facilities for handling of EXIM cargo, but also fully integrated logistics services, giving full value for money to its customers," the release said.

The CFS will have approximately 7,000 square metres of covered warehousing and 30,000 square metres of paved open container yard, it added. It is proposed to provide independent customs coverage, and all business centre facilities to customers and associates alike.
