Financial Performance Corporate Results - Telecommunications Tata Telecom Q4 net up 27 pc Our Bureau
Mumbai , May 14 TATA Telecom has reported a 27 per cent increase in net profit, at Rs. 10.55 crore, for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2004. Turnover for the quarter increased 20 per cent, to Rs. 132.5 crore. The company's focus on converged communication solutions, contact centre solutions and customer services helped net profit increase 76 per cent during the year ended March 31, 2004, to total Rs. 32.67 crore (Rs. 18.56 crore). Revenues increased 23 per cent, to Rs. 401.93 crore. The board of the company has announced a dividend of 45 per cent for the year under consideration. Apart from its focus on the above-mentioned areas, the company's significant profitability is further aided by the favourable movement in foreign exchange as well as remarkable growth in the services business, said Mr. Niru Mehta, Vice-Chairman, Tata Telecom. "I believe the future of all enterprise communications infrastructure lies in converged networks especially in the emerging sectors."
