THE American Academy of Hospitality Sciences has awarded the `Five Star Diamond Award' to The Imperial.

According to a company release, the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences is the only international organisation that awards excellence in the global travel and luxury services sector. Imperial is the first hotel in India to receive the award.

Mr Pierre Jochem, Vice-President and General Manager, The Imperial, said, ``It is a befitting tribute to the legacy that the hotel has carried for the last seven decades and for The Imperial's re-emergence in such short time.''
