Industry Associations ATMA expects further impetus to economic reforms K.R. Srivats
New Delhi , May 15 THE Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA) expects the new Government at the Centre to provide further impetus to the process of economic reforms and liberalisation while focusing attention on fiscal consolidation, infrastructure and agricultural development. "Momentum gain in the economy needs acceleration in economic reforms and liberalisation. Urgent agenda should be labour reforms and accelerating infrastructure development in power and ports. This is critical to provide competitive edge to Indian industry," Mr Raghupati Singhania, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, J.K. Industries Ltd and Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA), said. Mr Singhania held that the manufacturing sector has made a remarkable turnaround, needs a further push to make the country a major global manufacturing player.
