Steps to check over-speeding at Kochi

KOCHI: The Transport Department has introduced a speed tracer intended to check over speeding and trace vehicles, which causes pollution to the environment.

A vehicle carrying the equipment will be travelling in various parts of the district and those violating the traffic rules will be fined.

The speed limit for vehicles in the National Highways are 70 km per hour and goods vehicles 55 km per hour. Vehicles violating the speed limits in the city will also be fined.
