Hyderabad , May 18

AIRTEL Andhra Pradesh, part of the Bharti Group, has been ranked best cellular provider for quality of network and service, according to the recently announced TRAI survey. AirTel Andhra Pradesh scored over other operators on several parameters that measure customer satisfaction with cellular operator's service in India.

Among them, the notable factors included faults cleared in 24 hours, accumulated down time of community isolation, call drop rate, percentage connections with good voice quality and billing complaints. The operator was rated best on both objective and subjective quality of service assessment for cellular services and has been cited as a preferred choice among customers.

Mr K. Srinivas, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Mobile Ltd-Andhra Pradesh, in a statement said, "It has been AirTel's endeavour to provide a world class mobile experience to all its customers. The recent TRAI-IMRB report rating the AirTel AP to be amongst the best cellular network in the country has come as a source of encouragement to continue with our mission to set new benchmarks both in network quality and customer service."

AirTel will soon be installing more cell sites to further boost the AirTel network in Andhra Pradesh in the existing areas of operation. Riding on the 462-strong cell site networks, AirTel is a congestion free network with voice clarity and superior call maturity. Installation of these sites is the first in a series of many initiatives planned to further bolster the network.

The TRAI-IMRB survey covers cellular and basic telephony service providers. The study identifies various factors that measure customer satisfaction with cellular operator's service in India.

Bills in Telugu: Airtel, which has close to 700,000 subscribers across 187 cities and towns in the State, has introduced the facility of bills in Telugu, offered free of cost to all post-paid customers across the State.

By default, customers will now receive their bills with the bilingual option of both English and Telugu in the existing format. Basic details of the bill will be given in Telugu alongside the details in English.

Mr Srinivas said in a statement: "Airtel customised service would find a special appeal amongst all our valued customers both in Hyderabad and in all the other cities and towns of Andhra Pradesh."

Airtel offers customers the convenience of e-billing, where the customer has all the information available to him at the click of a mouse by logging onto www.airtelworld.com.

The e-bill option allows customers the option of viewing their monthly bills online, analysing their itemized call details and also allows them to send their request of receiving bills by e-mail and discontinuing their paper bills. Airtel offers Bill Alerts via SMS to its post-paid customers.
