Rosaiah is AP Finance Minister

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , May 22

MR Konijeti Rosaiah, a veteran Congress leader, has been named the new Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Mr Rosaiah is among the 24 Ministers inducted into Mr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy's Cabinet on Saturday morning.

Mr Dharmana Prasada Rao will be the new Revenue Minister, while Mr Botsa Satyanarayana and Ms Sabita Indra Reddy will head Major Industries and Mines Ministries respectively.

Though Mr Rajasekhara Reddy had taken over as Chief Minister last week, he could not constitute his Cabinet, due to the intense political developments in Delhi that kept senior Congress leaders engaged.

The Pradesh Congress Committee President, Mr D. Srinivas, who vied for Chief Minister's post, got Rural Development portfolio, while former PCC President, Mr M. Satyanarayana Rao, was assigned Endowments Ministry.
