KOCHI: IFB launched hard-water compatible washing machines in the Kerala market on Tuesday.

Mr Ashutosh Vaidya, Head (Sales), said that IFB fully automatic segment had a 37 per cent market share in the State and 85 per cent in the frontloading category. The company is planning to increase the sales outlet from 92 to 115 in the State this year.

The new product has 200 per cent savings in water comparison to the top loader washing machine and 100 per cent savings in detergent. The product is available in two models and priced at Rs 24,500. The products are are exported to various countries in West Asia, Far East, Africa and some parts of Europe. Last year, around 4,500 models were exported to these countries, he said.
