Retailing T.S. Mahalingam & Sons opens 3rd used car outlet in Chennai Our Bureau

Chennai , May 25 T.S. Mahalingam & Sons Ltd, a leading used car dealer here, today inaugurated its third outlet in the city. The family-owned firm has been in the used car business since 1935 and is now managed by the third generation. The new outlet, inaugurated at suburban Velacheri, will take the firm's total used car outlets to five, including one each in Bangalore and Coimbatore. At present, the company completes about 15 transactions a day in Chennai, 70 per cent to 80 per cent of which are in the nature of broking transactions and the balance trade - the firm buys and sells a car, according to Mr N. Balasubramanian, partner, T.S. Mahalingam & Sons. The Velacheri outlet, spread over 18,000 sq.ft., will help the company cater to customers in that part of the city. Mr Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti, partner, Nalli Chinnasami Chetty, a longstanding customer of T.S. Mahalingam & Sons, and Mr Sarvesh Sarup, Country Business Manager, Global Consumer Group, Citibank, with which T.S. Mahalingam & Sons has a business association, participated in the inaugural function. Recently, the company had started distributing Citibank cards.
