Shasun PAT goes up 47.7 pc at Rs 23 cr

SHASUN Chemicals & Drugs has announced a profit after tax of Rs 23.84 crore for the financial year 2003-04, higher by 47.7 per cent in relation to the previous year's profit of Rs 16.14 crore.

Net sales for the year were Rs 277.42 crore (Rs 247.52 crore), an increase of 12.07 per cent. The company's board recommended a dividend of Rs 3.50 for each equity share (face value of Rs 10). Earlier, the company had paid an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 for each share.

In the fourth quarter (January-March) of 2003-04, Shasun recorded a profit after tax of Rs 10.26 crore (Rs 6.7 crore) on net sales of Rs 77.72 crore (Rs 68.33 crore).
