Kamal Nath to hold talks with exporters on Exim policy

THE Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, would interact with the exporting community here on Thursday as part of his Ministry's efforts towards formulating an Export-Import policy for 2004-05.

After taking charge as Commerce Minister, Mr Kamal Nath had indicated that he would strengthen the Government's interface with trade and industry so as to get inputs for export strategies as well as to formulate the forthcoming Exim policy. An official release said that the interaction would be the first in a series of such meetings aimed at getting inputs for formulating the Exim policy.

It is being organised by the FIEO and would be attended by the Chairmen of export promotion councils, commodity boards trade associations and leading exporters.
