Jamshedpur XLRI alumni meet on Saturday

Our Bureau

Mumbai, May 26

MAINTAINING a tradition that goes back several years, the Jamshedpur-based XLRI will hold one of its alumni meets here on May 29.

The gathering will be part of a series planned across the country and abroad in Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai apart from Singapore, Toronto, Dubai and the US.

According to an official release, alumni meets, which form part of the annual itinerary of the institute, bring together a group of senior officials, including CEOs, MDs, Country Managers and Heads of HR, Marketing and Finance, besides a number of middle-level managers across corporate organisations.

The meet will also bring together a pool of talent from fields that are considered unconventional for managers. They include people active in writing, the creative arts, journalism, and teaching among others.

The meeting, it said, would be held in an informal atmosphere, allowing participants to interact and network, while at the same time renewing ties with the institute.

According to the statement, the meet will serve as a platform where XLRI tradition will be recalled and debated. It will also set the agenda for the year ahead, besides serving as an inspiration for the current batch of Xlers.

BPCL is the principal sponsor of the meeting in the city, which will be held at the Leela in Andheri (E). The associate sponsors are AIG, Naukri.Com, Pepsi, SAB Miller, Seagrams, and SET Discovery Pvt Ltd. The Hindu Business Line will be the media partner for the event.
