BSNL intra-circle tariffs rationalised

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: THE tariff for intra-circle telephone calls made from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd's (BSNL) landlines to Reliance Infocomm mobile telephones is being brought on par with the rates charged on calls to other cellular service providers, says an official press release.

Calls from BSNL landlines to Reliance mobile numbers starting with `31' and `38' will henceforth be charged at the rate of one unit per 30 seconds throughout Kerala, says the release.

However, local calls within the short distance charging areas (SDCA) of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Tiruvalla, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur will be charged at one unit per 60 seconds, the release adds
